After consulting the cycling Jedi, Paul Craft, we agreed that its important to keep riders doing similar distances to what they are use to or else the riders heart, lungs and legs will not keep up with the maths. Riders will sign-on in their normal divisions (1 to 4), but redistributed into three grades (A to C). Here is a rough guide, but it does depend on who is in attendance. Three grades A grade (div 1 and fast div 2) B grade (slow div 2 and fast div 3) C grade (slow div 3 and div 4) A and B are doing a typical div 2 duration, C are doing a typical div 4 duration. I've included an extract from the spreadsheet with the scheduled margin columns hidden, and my maths redacted from the notes. -Formulating a race plan is your job! 😀

A big thanks to Riki who walked the track in the rain today. He did this to see that it was clear of debris from last night's rain in case we were going to press on. -I didn't ask him. He just rang and told me he was doing it. 💚💙💚💙 That was a bonus, because I had a busy morning doing non-race stuff. Also thanks to Alex and Annie who handled the comms professionally while I was busy. Alex even signed off as me 🙂 I'm feeling very proud of these young ladies and very confident they will mature into brilliant leaders in the future. So much goes into our club, even when we are giving everyone else the afternoon off! We're very privileged to have great people who step up!
